In our interactive learning design, our topic is how to learn Chinese. And I find a video is about the 10 tips to help students have more understanding of learning Chinese. Many people have said learning Chinese in the most difficult language in the world. if the students watch this video, they will relieve stress. The video uses his own experience to tell the people who want to learn Chinese have more power.
To make teaching more interactive, I might ask students to take notes. Also, I think students should also explore learning according to their interests. This way of learning will not feel boring. Also in the spare time, the teacher and students will have more interaction. After the video, the students should have their ideas that which part they have more interest and which part they think is difficult. Write their idea and send an email to the teacher. When the teacher receives feedback from the students, the teacher will use that feedback to determine the teaching style and content. As a result of current trends, teachers have no choice but to teach online. Teachers can only use online meetings to teach students, such as Zoom App. Online teaching can be very taxing on the teacher because it is impossible to determine face-to-face whether the student is proficient in the content. Also, Chinese has many different pronunciations. Some students may be shy to pronounce it in class. The teacher will divide the students into small groups and practice pronunciation at a designated time after class to ensure that each student is pronouncing correctly.
In order to help students learn better, teachers will compile more information or online quizzes to let students know how they are doing. This is also a great way to learn more about how the student is learning. Also, the teacher will prepare occasional quizzes during the online lectures. The teacher can use the Top Hat app to administer the quizzes to prevent students from skipping class.
