Direct instruction involves the teacher teaching the information, then students repeating the information. The teacher asks questions about the information, and the child responding to the teacher’s questions. If the answer is wrong, the teacher corrects it until the student gives the correct answer. This model can make students more patient because they need to do more practice. Also, when the teacher teaches, the student needs more force on what does the teacher said. Students acquire knowledge and skills through their teachers, and in some cases, students imitate the behavior of others to learn parts of the information or steps in skill more efficiently than working independently on their own.
